A Break Today

It still amazes me how we can grow roses here in Texas but not tomatoes.  This morning I made this arrangement in my old fan vase.  I was experimenting a little with the lighting.

The pressure is on, we are moving in eleven days.  I took out some time today for a break, I met my artist friend Ginny for lunch and we had a good time.  I met her after her Apple computer class.  After lunch we went to Barnes and Noble and looked at art magazines.  She showed me pictures of their recent trip to Wyoming.  Ginny also brought some new art work to show me, I have photographs to show but will have to show them tomorrow. It was pleasant sitting outdoors in front of Whole Foods---sunny, warm and breezy.

I am eager to see more of Ginny's art as well as yours, Cindy. You obviously have talent when it comes to flower arrangement because those roses look very attractive! I hope we don't lose you for very long during the move itself. You're an A-#1 blogger and friend!

The tryst with Ginny was so good for you. You came home rejuvenated and that is what friends can do. Then---you proved you are wonder woman by cooking up fish, cole slaw, hush puppies and homemade french fries. Damn!

Shady, Petra and Violetta, Clint---thank you all so much for your visits and and very kind thoughts.

It is my intention to not go too long without posting something on here during the next busy days and during our move. (Hope I don't bore anyone to death ;~/ ) It's good one can do drafts ahead, that might be an idea for me.

(Clint-the meal was heavy but good, I can't remember the last time we had homemade french fries. I can see baked fish in your horizon :-D ) and in mine, too!)

Thanks again, everyone!
