Margaritaville

This blog draft was written Friday evening, April 1, and was published this morning, Sunday, April 3, 2011.

No, I am not ♪searching for that lost shaker of salt♪, I've been too busy searching for the hotel key. If there's a ♪woman to blame♪, it's me (Clint's words there, not mine ☺ Clint and I decided tonight we would eat at the nearby Mexican restaurant, Hacienda Degollado.  It was good that we were able to walk to this restaurant, it was just yards from the Hampton Inn here in Oak Ridge, TN.  We got there early in an attempt to beat the Friday night crowd. That was a good idea to go early, later there was a long line waiting to be seated.

It has been a long time since I have let my hair down.  We ordered a pitcher of margaritas and it has been at least a year since I have had one. I recognized an old friend and co-worker of my mother's.  I also worked at the same electronics company many years ago and she was a co-worker and old friend of mine, too.  I was so happy to see her. She actually recognized me first.

At 8:30 tomorrow morning we plan on leaving for Jackson, MS.  It is going to be a two day trip getting back to Plano so tomorrow we will spend the night in Jackson, MS.  It was still daylight as we left the restaurant and walked through the parking lots to the hotel. The sky was so pretty that I had to drag my camera from my purse and snap this picture.

CINDY: Well, go on down to Jackson,
go ahead and wreck your health
Go play your hand, you big-talkin' man,
make a big fool of yourself
Yeah, yeah, go to Jackson,
but go comb that hair
CLINT: I'm gonna snowball Jackson
CINDY: Go ahead and see if I care

CLINT: When I breeze inta that city,
the people gonna stoop and bow
All them women gonna make me
teach 'em what they don't know how
I'm goin' to Jackson,
ya turn-a loose-a my coat
'cause I'm goin' to Jackson
CINDY: Goodbye, that's all she wrote

Travel safe, you two!

Oh! I miss Mexican food. New Jersey isn't the greatest with it. Awesome Italian- not so good Mexican :) The cloud photo is awesome! Beautiful.

Hello Cindy it was really really nice to hear from you again:-) wow I love road ttrips especially when taken with the one you love dearly. Every travel seems so much meaningful and no amount of bickerings would change that. Your husband is always witty and so cute. Hehe! I can't wait to embark on one too. That will be the day. Your sky picture was marvelous! Enjoy you lovebirds! I wish mine would last that long too. Hehe:-)

Well, let's just say that we had 80 ounces of margaritas between us, so I'm glad we walked to the restaurant. Everything was ok until someone stepped on my hand in the hotel lobby. Ha.

Shady, Franz, Karen and Minakichu---thank you all for your comments.

Shady, love the song Jackson, we are big Johnny Cash fans. Clint's ring tone is Ring of Fire. Thanks for posting Jackson. This is hard to believe but I did "wreck my health" there, some kind of food poisoning. I don't recall ever being this sick before.
