The Flower in the Crainned Wall

Flower in the Crannied Wall

I pluck you out of the crannies,

I hold you here, root and all, in my hand,

Little flower—but if I could understand

What you are, root and all, all in all,

I should know what God and man is.

~ Alfred Lord Tennyson ~

Two recent flowers I found in crannied "walls" during my morning walk near Atlanta.

Excellent. And are not all of us---frail and weak human beings that we are---just like those clinging plants hanginig on for dear life in the crannied walls of our existence. Very deep subject, and one that we should ponder always.

Great shots, Cindy. Isn't it amazing how something will grow like that.
