I looked up the definition of "trophy" and I can see a lot of negativity associated with that word ... most associations of the word to me are negative and of the world. It's hard for me to even imagine having a tattoo, it would mess me up mentally, even more than I am now! :-) I know what you mean about these "trophy" wives. It seems we don't see a "trophy" wife being attracted to a low wage earner. It's sad. It makes me wonder about the mysterious history of your family owl. It sure would be creepy to see this owl in a dark attic, or a well lit attic for that matter! Your Halloween themed posts were great and a hit with your followers! Hope you and Mrs. Shady have a fun Halloween! ☠☠☠☠☠

Carol ~ Hi, how are you? Thank you for stopping by and commenting. I wanted to tell you how much I appreciated what you wrote yesterday on Clint's blog. I loved what you wrote about putting names on pieces of paper and placing them in your Bible. Yesterday I drove by the area and once again there was a hitchhiker holding a cardboard sign. I did manage to see the word "vet" at the top of the sign. I am not sure is this was the same guy as the one in the rain the other day. I just felt so badly, guilty, that I did not do one thing the other day. Next time I need to have a plan, someone to call. Hope you have enjoyed your weekend so far. ♥

Clint ~ Whew! You talk about me being on a roll, this is some roll you've got here! Can you imagine the hits this might get when someone Googles some of the words that you used?! ☠☠☠☠☠

I have one word response to what you wrote above: NOT!Cindy Ellisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03637906385592484767noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6000465612593118470.post-43350461889550102552011-10-29T11:52:23.208-05:002011-10-29T11:52:23.208-05:00Just remember---I'm a bike ridin', coke sn...Just remember---I'm a bike ridin', coke snortin', body piercin', inked out, womanizin', double fisted, hog tyin', hell raisin' sonofabuck. Put a long white beard on Clint, hand him a guitar, and he could pass for a member of ZZ Top! (LOL) It was sweet of him to wear a T-shirt with a picture of his lovely wife on it! :) It's encouraging to know that the Ellison home is a tattoo free environment. I realize that I'm drifting off topic but I just wanted to express my displeasure with the trend over the last 30 years toward tattooing, piercing, and other types of body alteration. I don't wish to offend anyone but in my opinion women are ruining their looks with these procedures.

I cringe whenever I see the words "African animal trophies" because I am very much opposed to the Bungalow Bills of this world. For that matter I am equally opposed to men who hunt beautiful young women, throw money and power at them, and collect them as trophy wives. Women who are eager to become trophies are also on my list because I believe that love should be the driving force in our lives, not money and social status.

Getting back to the animals, I much prefer seeing them alive and well and enjoying their freedom. It's a terrible shame those stags got tangled up butting their heads together and it led to their deaths. That's a powerful anti-war metaphor if you think about it.

When I was a boy my parents had a large stuffed and mounted owl that they kept in the attic. I don't know where they got it but it stared at me whenever I had reason to go up there. The owl was brought out as a Halloween decoration every year and I can testify that it was spookier than 100 wax heads!

This was an interesting and thought provoking post, dear Cindy. Have a safe and happy weekend and a fun-filled Halloween!Shady Del Knighthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03839935472941264414noreply@blogger.com
