Tracy, my son-in-law. |
The delicious fried green tomatoes, everything we'd heard was true! They were delicious! |
My husband, Clint. I knew when he read the words "shrimp" and "grits" that he would know what he was ordering! |
My daughter Lucinda and my grandson Canyon. He was about to call it an early night. |
I was a "good girl" and was mindful of my dieting. This citrus marinated and grilled chicken breast was delicious! I brought half of it home for "brunch" the next day. Clint had leftovers, too. |
No, Canyon, you can not be the new hood ornament for the Rubicon. |
A beautiful sunset as we left the restaurant ... a perfect way to end the perfect evening. Thank you Tracy, Lucinda and Canyon! We enjoyed the spectacular food and had a wonderful evening! ♥ |

Note for Shady, Kelli, Franz, Petra, Poet Starry Dawn and Crystal Mary ... please see my previous post, I have written each of you in the "comments" section. Thank you all for being such good friends and supporters!
Cindy - You are the complete blogger, a heads-up blogger, an intelligent blogger. It might not seem like much to you but communications like the comment you posted above really make people who follow your blog feel a sense of completion. Believe me, few people care about their friends and followers as much as you do. I'm sure you also notice the volumes that people, myself included, tend to write to you. There's a reason. You are extremely likable, warm and welcoming. People feel at ease expressing themselves here. You take damn good care of your friends and that's why I voted you #1 with a bullet a few weeks ago.
It was great to see pictures of Tracy, Clint, and beautiful Lucinda and Canyon. I did the math and realized that somebody's picture was missing! :( I also enjoyed the beauty shots of the food. I wish that I could have sampled it all!
The food was delectable (I don't know what that means, but I always wanted to use the word in a sentence); Tracy was his usual funny self; Lucinda was charming and in perfect control after a hard day at work; and Canyon was ubiquitous (I don'tknow what that means, either, but don't it sound good?).
And, as always, Cindy was her sneaky self, stealing fried green tomatoes when she thought no one was looking. Ha.
We missed Kevin and Patti. Where were they?
Thank you, Lucinda and Tracy! It was a wonderful evening! We love you.
Oh what a wonderful evening Cindy. Nice to meet your family. Your daughter is beautiful. The grits and shrimp brought smiles.
What a beautiful evening, great food and lovely pictures.
Thanks for beeing with you....and now I am hungry *smile*
Greetings

Shady - What special and kind compliments you have given me and my blog! Thank you so much, I would have never imagined a thing such as this two years ago. I've always wanted the people I encounter to feel comfortable and welcome. (I know how bad it feels to be uncomfortable and unwelcomed.) When we find a new church, I will want that to be my "mission", to welcome new visitors, introduce them and follow up with handwritten cards and notes. You are doing a similar mission on Shady Dell Music and Memories by your attention to your "commenters" (FANS!)and making them feel special and appreciated by leaving them replies. Happy 3rd Birthday, again! You chose some wonderful images on this blog, there would have been a lot to praise! Thank you again, Shady!
Petra, thank you for your visit. Looking at those pictures makes me hungry, too! Have a wonderful weekend! Take care ♥
Emma, it is so good to see you here, too. Thank you for your visit. I enjoyed your blog last evening and need to look at your follow up post. You are so talented! Do you ever do any drawing or painting? Enjoy your weekend! ♥
The food looks wonderful and it sounds like a scrumptious evening. Good for you, Cindy, for sticking to your diet! Those good choices continue to add up and bring great rewards.
Hi Shelly, it was good to see your comment in my email this morning! Thank you, Shelly! It is so darn hard to be on a diet and I know you must have had some times it was hard for you. I like that old saying, "nothing tastes as good as slim feels". (I am not sure if 'slim' is the right word but didn't want to use 'skinny'.) This working out 5-6 days a week is the hardest work I have ever done. I am already feeling results, though, and intend to keep it up! Enjoy your weekend, Shelly! ♥
