Here I am standing at the over look at Norris Dam in the fall of 1966. |
My husband Clint standing in the same spot as I was above in May 2012, 46 years later. |
My sister Patti and I standing by a tower at Norris Dam in the fall of 1966. |
It's a little difficult to see but I placed an arrow at the "tower" where my sister Patti and I were standing in the previous photo in 1966. A 2012 arial view of Norris Dam. |
Patti and I at the grist mill near Norris Dam on Labor Day, September 1965. |
The same spot as above 47 years later. This photo was made in May 2012. I was struck how much moss there was in the photo. |
Father Time, could you slow down a little bit ... please?

Wow! It's amazing to see how the area has changed over the years!

Hi Emma! It is so good to see you, thank you for stopping by! I just checked out the "dear photograph.com" and you were so right about me enjoying it, I actually loved it! What a great idea. My old photos are so important to me. I worked in photography for years, mostly airbrusing and oil tinting. Years ago I printed color. I hope things are going well with you, I need to check up what you are up to over there in the beautiful country known as Ireland. ♥ Thank you, Emma!

So interesting to look back and remember loved ones and events of our past; especially when you can compare photos taken then with pictures from today.
Nice time travelling and it must be interesting to see this place again.
Thanks for sharing the older fotos.
Greetings♥
I love these before and after type photos! It's so very interesting to compare the pics and see how somethings change and some stay pretty much the same~
I loved this post, live passed by and places are always in , but we feeling always the same-) i know this feeling, is nice finally
I wanted to say " places are always in change"
Comparison photos can be fun. I like looking at hair-do comparisons. I have the same hairdo now that I had in high school. Ohhh, that is scary!
Hope your day is special..........
It's so lovely to see pictures of you in the 60's. It's so interesting to see how the areas have changed. Sometimes it makes me sad to see things change in the area where I grew up, It's not always for the better. I do love how all that moss has grown in your last picture. xx
